When to Seek Immediate Care

Fractures & Breaks

Severe pain, inability to bear weight, or visible deformity.

Severe Infections

Red streaks spreading from a wound, high fever, or hot/swollen foot.

Deep Wounds

Cuts that are deep, gaping, or wont stop bleeding.

Sudden Severe Pain

Sudden onset of intense pain, swelling, or numbness.

Diabetic Emergencies

New ulcers, black/blue discoloration, or loss of sensation.

Tendon Ruptures

Popping sound followed by pain and inability to walk properly.

Rest

Stop activity immediately and keep weight off the injured foot.

Ice

Apply ice packs for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours to reduce swelling.

Compression

Wrap with an elastic bandage to support and minimize swelling.

Elevation

Keep the foot raised above heart level to drain fluid.
